So it's been a while since my last post and I just wanted to update you all on some cool new things that have happened in my life. If you're a Cairns local you may have realised I haven't been playing locally any more, this is because I've relocated to Brisbane. However, I will be back for some shows possibly later on in the year so make sure you keep an ear out! For those in Brisbane and surrounding areas I hope you will be as thrilled as I am about some upcoming gigs I have set for future. I'm so eager to get out and start playing you all some of my new material. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do. Now that I've settled down in Brisbane I'll be updating my sites more regularly so keep an eye out. On another note, if you've been watching my sites you'll have noticed I've been working a lot with Brandon Lane. He is an amazing musician who has just released his first EP 'Me and You'. I highly recommend you go out and purchase one of his CD's. To do so go to his facebook page and send him a message with your information. CD's are only $5. While you're at it you should also check out Melbourne band Belle Haven. They recently came up on their Queensland tour and I had the honour of showing them around. If you don't know them already they're a six-piece alternative band. They are seriously the nicest guys you would ever meet and are playing music for such a great cause. If you don't own one of their CD's or shirts, make sure you head over to their store and buy one before stocks sell out. http://www.bellehaven.bigcartel.com -Kirsten |

Essence Music & Lifestyle Festival | |
|
I can safely say last weekend was the best weekend of my entire life. I'm not exaggerating at all. Essence Music & Lifestyle Festival was one of the best festivals I have ever been to, and it wasn't because I had the opportunity to play at it. For those who don't know much about the Festival it was a three day music and entertainment festival. Held in the beautiful location of MT Garnett it promised three massive stages, kids entertainment, an opening fire show, night cinemas, barramundi fishing and more. With bands such as The Butterfly Effect, Calling All Cars, Shihad, Joel Turner and more it held such a diverse range of talented musicians, and something for everyone. I had the pleasure of playing a few sets on the acoustic stage they named 'The Sunset Stage'. It was located in this beautiful outback location that will be etched into my mind for a very long time. I highly recommend the festival for everyone who enjoys camping, music and entertainment. |
